Elephant's Memory était un groupe de New York band connu pour avoir backé John Lennon et Yoko Ono pendant l'année 1972 (sous le nom the Plastic Ono Elephant's Memory Band) sur plusieurs albums, sur des performances TV et apparitions live. Deux de leurs chansons apparaissent sur la bande originale du film Midnight Cowboy, "Jungle Gym At The Zoo" and "Old Man Willow".
Le groupe apparait aussi en 1983 dans un documentaire "Hell's Angels Forever", dans lequel le groupe est à "the Hells Angels' Pirates Party" (the SS Bay Belle, 5 Septembre 1973), en compagnie de the Jerry Garcia Band.
